Prior to our first training session I request that you answer a few questions about yourself and your goals. This helps me make a plan for our first session and future sessions. You will receive a questionnaire soon after you book your first session. The questionnaire contains questions pertaining to your health and exercise history, current or previous injuries that may impact your ability to perform certain exercises, your dietary habits and, most importantly, your goals. Feel free to share as much information as you would like.

You will have access to a mobile app where you can log workouts and meals (with macronutrient breakdown), and track progress with measurements and progress pictures. Should you need nutrition guidance I will create meal plan suggestions that you will find using the app, and you will be able to print a grocery shopping list based on the meal plans. The mobile app is designed for iOS and Android, and can also be accessed from a computer.


Booking a personal training session at Muscle Mechanics, a private gym facility in the Beverly Grove neighborhood, can be done online. For information about in-home training, please scroll down the page.

Personal training in other locations, e.g. in-home, park, or other suitable location:

One-on-one personal training at other locations is available for the same rate as above. However, due to varying travel time, please contact me to book this type of session.

The advice and guidance provided will be based on my degree in physical therapy and personal training experience. When preparing to start a new training program it is imperative to consult a physician before doing so.


By participating in personal training you agree with the following: 


You fully understand that you may sustain an injury as a result of participating in personal training, and hereby release Golden State Fitness from any liability now or in the future for any injury, including, but not limited to heart attacks, death, muscle strains, pulls or tears, broken bones, shin splints, heat prostration, knee/lower back/foot injuries and any other illness, soreness or injury however caused, occurring during or after your participation in the training.


By booking a personal training session, you state that your personal representatives, administrators, heirs and assigns, hereby holds harmless Golden State Fitness from any claims arising from your participation in personal training. 


By booking a personal training session, you affirm that you have read, have been honest with Golden State Fitness, and also fully understand the above information. You have been given the opportunity to present questions in all related matters.
